Fun project

I had a beautiful piece of fabric that was just enough to make a women's pathfinder vest. The sizing turned out perfectly and even though I'm new at sewing, I had no major frustrations. I used piping in the seams on front and back and love how my vest turned out. The instructions were very clearly written and illustrated. I'm looking forward to making more of these in the future.

First pathfinder-made with ease

The pattern is easy to follow especially with the video attached that you can refer to over and over if you have any doubts. This will definitely be first of many pathfinders, for me and others.

Few problems

Encountered a few minor problems that took a while to finish fire out. Overall was easy to follow instructions and sew. I fell in love with a cotton print I used for lining. That made it hard to put on. The fit was fine just no slip on the lining.

Overlocker/serger adjustments

I like the pattern, but I made a lot of adjustments- For starters, the front side panel matched the side seam but was longer than the front panel (my mistake?) I adjusted the crossover panel so that there’s a proper overlap and no ‘tummy-gap’ I added loops at the top with a toggle both inside and outside (reversible) Also the sizes became bigger because I used an overlocker (serger) which means all seams are smaller, so I cut a bit off the seam allowance.
Apart from all that- it’s a simple pattern that can be put together quite quickly (PS use a sewing machine for the corners and cut off excess before turning right side.)

A great wardrobe addition

Finally after making a few vests for the kids, I’ve made one for me. Very happy with the fit and pleased with the fabric combo. Coat next

Easy pattern

I'm almost done with a pink fluffy lined white vest for the MiL (Mother's Day. Going together beautifully. Might go up a size next time as the lining is very fluffy. The pockets stayed off...she isn't a pockie type. No hood. thanks for a great sew

a very satisfying make

I made this about a month ago and absolutely loved every aspect of it. It was my first time with any kind of outerwear and princess seams and the pattern instructions take you through the how and why of each step of sewing very well. What I particularly appreciated was how at the end of the instructions there are notes on a couple of common "adjustments" that the sewist might newwd to make and I found that very helpful. Thank you for this absolutely great pattern.

International Vest!

Really enjoyed making this. Lovely to have a pattern with no complications - straight forward and easy to use. Excellent advice and instructions.
Why "international"? Pattern - New Zealand, Wool fabric - Ireland, Lining - Dubai and I am in the UK!

Delightful!

This vest came together easily and is so comfortable and charming. I love the loop button closures and the side pockets. I would also love a sleeve add-on to make this into a jacket.
