International Vest!

Really enjoyed making this. Lovely to have a pattern with no complications - straight forward and easy to use. Excellent advice and instructions.
Why "international"? Pattern - New Zealand, Wool fabric - Ireland, Lining - Dubai and I am in the UK!

Delightful!

This vest came together easily and is so comfortable and charming. I love the loop button closures and the side pockets. I would also love a sleeve add-on to make this into a jacket.

I have made two of these. One as a gilet without a hood and one with the pixie hood. I made the first with pockets. However, the pockets ended up misaligned and unbalanced when I put the buttons on as there is no placket to accommodate the buttons. I ended up removing the pockets and it looked much better. The second one I made without pockets although I do prefer to have pockets. Having made the children's pathfinder with the optional placket I feel this works much better if you want the garment to have pockets. I used a 100% wool blanket and a pre loved curtain to line it.

Lovely simple pattern

Great pattern, have made several in different sizes, mainly out of preloved wool blankets and some new wool fabric. Love the instant download.

Love It !!!

I really enjoyed working with The Twig & Tale pattern for the Pathfinder Vest. I have made clothes for a long time but have never been formally trained and I felt as if the added videos were like a training lesson and I especially found these easy to follow and work with. I adjusted the breast fitting but next time I will even work further with the variations that I have learnt in tailoring the vest to fit me perfectly. Being able to print up only one size or two or three was an extra bonus using layers in Acrobat. I have downloaded patterns before and all the sizes are printed and this can sometimes be a headache as I only have a B&W printer. This really is a very complete pattern with multiple variations and will be a lifelong clothing article in my wardrobe. Thanks I love it!

For all the women

What's better than a Pathfinder vest with Crossroads from for a little one? Being able to make them vests when they're not so little. This pattern is a favorite. I started with one for my baby daughter, my nieces and then my sisters. Everyone is picking out their favorite material and options for their vest. I've been making many twig and tale patterns and love the detailed instructions and video tutorials I can slow down and watch as many times as I need. These patterns maker me feel like I am a legitimate sewist!

surprised

I may have not seen the statement that the pattern is sent via email and has to be printed. 26 pages are far too much to print and assemble for a pattern. Surprised, and disappointed, it looks like a nice vest.
