I love this pattern

I left a review but forgot to add the photo. Here’s a duplicate review with photo. I'd made two baby versions (a top and a dress) of this pattern and decided to try making one for myself. I am always cold, so I decided to try making it in cotton flannel. It may not have the "drape" the typical fabrics have, but this pattern comes together nicely in flannel for a cool weather option. I love it. The instructions are clear and easy, and I'm looking forward to making more!

Driftwood top

I am quite a beginner, but with a bit of patience, this top came out beautifully. I love it!

Love this pattern

So easy to use, clear simple instructions a beginner could make this.
I love the shape, its versatility is endless, from a crisp cotton blouse to a soft sheer long sleeve elegant evening blouse, to a day dress, a beach cover or a night gown.
Its winter in the uk so i am making a soft Jersey with long sleeves in a tunic length.... Then i think i might need a pixie coat 😉

Beautiful Driftwood

This is an excellent pattern. Very versatile and not hard to sew. The instructions are clear and easy to follow.
My Driftwood was made in vintage silk and I love it ❤️

good spring / summer top

I made a few adjustments as follows:
- I didn't want a tie or loop, so extended the neckband by 4cms to make it more open
- shortened the body by 4 - 5 cm
- extended the sleeve by 4 cm
Instructions were easy to follow - gathering the fabric into the neckband being the most cumbersome step. I divided the neckband & bodice into 16 sections to make it easier to get the gathers even throughout.

Nice result

I did a sew-along with my daughter, teaching her to sew, and we each made a Driftwood blouse. I love the pattern and I have another cut out with the button front to sew next. Pleased that the smallest size in the women’s pattern fit my daughter. One less star because sometimes the videos didn’t quite match up with the written instructions in this one but I was spoiled by the perfection of the Breeze pattern I made last! I had a bit of trouble with the gathering on The neckline such a long stretch(gathering threads kept breaking) and in the end looked up and learned a new method for gathering which was zig zagging over a length of crochet cotton, and that worked well. I also put pockets into the blouse. Thanks Twig and Tale for a great pattern which I will use many times over.

5-stars, but with a caveat

Wonderful pattern! Amazing, easy to follow instructions. To make it better, I’d add info for a full-bust-alteration from the blog in addition to the bust/hip alteration already described in the pattern. I used said alteration from the pattern, but still had fit issues in the underarm and neckline. I hope to perfect the fit for me and make several more with the various options it provides.
