Great Quilt Coat Pattern!

I used this pattern for my very first quilt coat (and coat, period!). I’m somewhat of a beginner for garment patterns, and found the option to only print the size I needed very helpful. The pattern was very clear, and the additional add-ons and pattern options mean that I can use it so many different ways! The coat is a great fit, and just so sweet!

First of many !!!

A very versatile pattern easy to follow instructions, I used some fleeced backed jersey for the outer and repurposed a duvet covers for the lining. There will be more!!! I also ordered the adult version but haven't had chance to make that one yet.

Pixie Pea Coat - 4T Girl

Thank you for designing such a fun and easy pattern! The instructions are well written / structured. Including images with specified markings made it easy to follow. I made this for our granddaughter and look forward to making one for her little brother. As an added touch, embroidery and velvet is applied to the pockets.

Love this pattern

I was looking everywhere for a coat pattern to make each granddaughter this year. Nothing was what I imagined until I found this, Easy to download and directions are spot-on. Will definitely make more. I prewashed the quilting fabric, quilted it with lining and batting, cut out pattern and it came together in a flash. Can't wait to give it to her for Christmas. Now on to making the second one.

Fun make

The pattern is not difficult to make if you follow the directions closely. Managing the fabric alignment was a bit fiddly for my fingers. I did not rush it so I had no problems.
I used giraffe animal add-on. Ossicones don’t want to stand up but I don’t care. It’s too cute.

Repurposed wool

I was so excited to have found some wool at a resale shop to make the pixie pea coat for my daughter. I am a self-taught but particular sewist and consider myself to be a solidly intermediate. This coat came together quickly, even with taping the pages together. The wool I had was pretty light and my liner was a thin rayon so I used a fusible interfacing on all of my lining pieces to add warmth. This gave me no trouble. I embroidered several simple pictures onto the outside of the coat. It sewed up quickly and the instructions were more than adequate. The pattern has a good amount of ease and I like that she will be able to wear this coat for at least 2 seasons. The pattern is a great balance of simple but with nice finishing. Not overly complicated but not too simple.

Can't wait to start

I can't wait to try this pattern, just waiting for A0 or projector format. I can't bring myself to printing and taping together all those pages.
