Beautiful Meadow Skirt!

This pattern is so easy to follow and very quick to make. I made this in a cotton lawn fabric, and it is so light and floaty! I can definitely see myself making this again and again - the video tutorials are very helpful and I may try and brave a button front next time!

Perfect every day skirt

I’ve made four of these skirts now, all knee length in casual fabrics. I’m bigger than the largest size, but the elastic back means that I can still make it work. Love the two lines of elastic. It works really well for my sway back. Pockets are the perfect size and it’s an easy skirt to play around with fabric and styling. Only one of them has the bow at the back because I wear skirts in winter too and like to be able to wear a jumper over it. Love the video tutorial option when things get tricky.

Quick and easy sew

My wife asks me to make her work skirts all the time! Her favourite pattern is the Meadow skirt with pleats. My sister also loves it when I make them for her as well...

Very easy!

I sewed the maternity version of this skirt as my first "go". I think I made a size too large, but that's my fault for not really knowing my pre-pregnancy measurements. I can wear it easily anyway and I expect as I grow it will fit better. As far as construction goes, it was very simple to construct and came together easily. I definitely hope to make more!

Excellent design features

After eyeing off a few gathered skirt patterns I finally chose the Meadow skirt and I'm glad I did. I haven't ever found a gathered skirt I love as they tend to make me feel frumpy but I was still keen to make one as I've just had baby and I wanted comfy and feminine and pockets. So I think this is a great gathered skirt pattern for those of us that don't love gathered skirts! A fitted front waist band with not too much puff around the hips and the option for a less full back skirt were great features. The other thing is a waistband with a split elastic back so that you can have two different lengths to allow it to flare for your hips. This is great because it enables the skirt to sit with the top at the smallest part of your waist rather than the whole thing riding up. So I'm really pleased with my skirt and love it. Thanks for another great pattern with excellent very clear instructions too! :)
