Meet Fleur, a truly magical doll, looking to share her adventures with a special little child. Fleur's hair is inspired by my great grandma Mabel who used to always wear her hair this way.

  • 16" tall, natural cloth doll pattern, with button joints, woven fabric and yarn hair. BONUS tutorial for 3 three extra hairstyles
  • Clothing pattern bundle includes : Kimono dress, french knickers and shoes.

You will receive a clear, detailed tutorial including step-by-step photos.  No previous dollmaking or embroidery experience required!

Twig + Tale Fleur Doll + Clothes View

Experience required  Fleur is suitable for someone who has used a sewing machine before.  Embroidery experience is not required and is fully explained.

Fleur is not a whip-it-up-in-an-evening project, rather there are lots of elements which can be done in a spare fifteen minutes here and there - so she does come together nicely :)

Make old things new again! Twig & Tale patterns pair wonderfully with upcycled fabrics. Fleur uses very little fabric so look to gorgeous vintage garments and trims and precious fabric scraps for inspiration.

Supplies

  • 24” of 44” wide fabric (60cm of 115cm wide fabric).  You can use flesh-coloured broadcloth, calico, linen or other plain cotton material for her body.  This will be enough for two dolls, but you will need this amount in order to make one.
  • 50-75gm ball of natural yarn for hair.
  • Upholstery weight thread in the hair colour for stitching hair onto the scalp
  • Upholstery weight or linen thread in skin color for joining the limbs onto the body
  • Regular sewing thread in skin color for general sewing of the doll
  • 4 small neutral buttons for attaching arms and legs to the body
  • Stuffing: I like to use clean, carded wool.

FAQ

Q:  What is the difference between Briar and Fleur?
A:  Briar and Fleur have identical bodies.  Briar was designed with simpler facial features and hair to make her easier for a beginner.  Each come with their own clothing bundles which are also different.

Q:  Can I purchase the clothing bundles separately so Fleur can wear Briar's outfits and vice versa?
A:  The clothing is interchangeable between the dolls, but at this time the clothing bundles are only available to purchase with the dolls.
