Barefoot at the beach, or ready for a party, this sweet, timeless style will be your go-to dress for all occasions. The comfortable, easy fit is perfect for every-day play, but can easily be dressed up for special occasions with beautiful fabric, piping, or ruffles.
This no-fuss fit features a functional button front for easy on-off, a gently-gathered skirt, and lovely, deep pockets. With three sleeve lengths and options for a faced or fully-lined bodice, the Fable adapts with the seasons for year-round wear.

Skills you will learn: Gathering, in-seam pockets, adding a facing, (optional) bias binding. Fitting adjustment resources included.

I finished my (first) Fable Dress and I love it. I am an advanced beginner, and the video tutorials for all the more challenging parts were such a great help for a professional looking garment. I love the attention to detail and the care instructed in the pattern. I learnt a lot sewing this and can't wait to make a second version soon.
The written instructions, videos and blog support made it so easy. I’ve taught myself to see as a hobby and thought this dress might be to much of a challenge but I’m glad I tried. I love the results. I was able to lengthen, add piping and change to a plain front with ease. It’s the first time I had done that with any pattern and I didn’t feel lost or confused at any stage. The dress is super comfy and versatile.
I sewed this dress as part of a birthday outfit for my friend's daughter and I really love how it turnt out. I am a beginner sewist, but the instructions were great to help me finish a stunning little dress that will work for all kinds of occasions. Love the extra big pockets, too! I didn't encounter any trouble throughout the sewing process. Thank you!
This really is a lovely pattern, easy to follow and producing a beautiful dress. I’ve made one, but have designs on two more in the next month, I think it will become a staple of my kiddo’s closet.
