Great for special play mats

I bought this pattern to make a play mat for my baby and to add some interest. I made two leaves and attached them to the mat. I sewed crinkle material in one leaf, that is so fun for my little one! An easy pattern with great instructions and perfect to create your own activity mat.

Just beautiful

Finally I made these beautiful little leaves for a Waldorf/farm school. I used thriftstore sheets and lined them with thriftstore fleece blankets. I’m very happy with the result. The instructions were good as always.

What a joy sewing these leaves! I could do this on and on. They are easy to sew and yet look amazing. I've used the smaller sizes to make some XL coasters for family dinner. Perfect sizes for saucepans and at the same time a beautiful decoration of the table.

Hop to it!

I am using this pattern to make a "Princess Tiana" dress from Disney's Princess and the Frog for my magical granddaughter. Huh? you say? But wait. The dress is what the dress it, but it calls for an overskirt, and I'm making connected lily pads to make the over-skirt. Then, when I have time, I'm going to up the pattern ginormous, and make a lily pad cape for her. Cute story...I'd been sewing madly from mid-January to mid-March, with 5 different dresses. Then, with my husband's decline from a very rare dementia, I've been busy! Frontotemporal Degeneration isn't for the faint of heart! Anyway, Eleanor's Daddy was driving her up to see us, and, on the drive, she told our son that she was SURE Babushka would have a new dress. He said I'd been really busy, and didn't think so. She persisted in her fantasy, and he broke it to her that I usually send him photos in advance and none had been received. When they arrived and he told her the story, she was very chagrined. But then I consoled her with the reality that I wanted her help for fabric and trim selection for the next make, and she LOVED that she was my #1 consultant. Five and a half is very cooperative and helpful and fun and loving...and she loved the idea of the lily pad accoutrements.

Such a fun pattern.

Great clear instructions as ever with twig and tale patterns. I've made the small so far as a baby shower gift but will be coming back to make a set of the minis from scraps. It didn't take very long at all once I'd made my fabric for the front.

like everything else Amaaaaaaaazing!

i always try and find a multi use when buying patterns. i've gotten crinkle paper to add to the middle, and shrunk the Ex Small by 50%. This way my son's class can toss and crunch them during the songs they do. It's such an amazing sensory friendly learning shape. 10 out of 10 recommend!

Surprisingly simple

I don't do quilting, so I was a bit nervous about these leaves, but they are so lovely that I decided to give it a try. The instructions are so clear, I was never confused and the results were great. Also, my daughter loved the one I made as practice, so I will keep making more!
