Great alternative to bucket hat

Really clear instructions, lovely neat finish. Made for myself, fits well, and is light but still feels like it will stay on in the wind!!

Sunny Hat

This is a fun and easy pattern. The results are great. My only criticism is that I think the sizing is a bit big. I made a Child’s medium which fit me perfectly and not the least bit snug

I feel accomplished

I downloaded this pattern in the hope I could remedy a problem with a rain coat I made for my granddaughter. The hood was massive so instead of replacing it I decided to find a suitable hat so the need for the hood was redundant. It was an easy pattern to follow especially with the video to show the steps. It was a great success and for the first time in the few years I’ve been sewing I completed the hat in one sitting and actually added a few embellishments to top it off. Thank you at Twig & Tale for the opportunity to share your pattern.

Adorable Hat

I purchased the flower add-on for this pattern and tried two different styles. The extra petal type flower was extremely fiddly for newborn size and unless you have a tiny foot, can be difficult keeping the curves even and smooth looking. However the basic petal flower pattern is so adorable and easy to sew. The instructions are clear and easy to follow and the pattern lines up wonderfully. I recommend this hat for intermediate sewers just for the fact that one has to be precise in all their measurements (cutting, seam allowance and stitching) to achieve a good finish. All patterns with piecework are like this so read the instructions through before commencing.
