Super easy to print pattern. Easy to follow instructions! You will not be disappointed
I've made a few Fable dresses now for myself, and finally got around to purchasing the child pattern for my daughter. This first one is to match a dress of mine. The main dress is a brown needlecord, with a squirrel patterned needlecord for accent pieces (culled from an oddly shaped Boden dress I bought at a charity shop years ago). I lined the bodice and made the inseam pockets with a quilting weight cotton. The dress is a little stiffer and thicker in this fabric, but it's still comfy to wear and the squirrels are a big hit! My daughter chose the buttons from my jar, and they match the acorns pretty well!
I really loved making this pattern for my 3 1/2 year old granddaughter. I used leftover fleece for the lining, corduroy for the main exterior & plaid flannel for the sleeves, interior hood & button panels. I am super thrilled how it turned out. She is going to look so cute in it. It was written well with very straightforward instructions. A project that could be made in a day.
Really great pattern and easy to follow.
Just be mindful of placement of cut patterns if you want a wool and cotton side. I just need to hand stitch mine closed.
The instructions were detailed and had pictures for every step. I usually sew quilts, not clothing, but I was able to make some lovely cloaks for my godchildren! I used fabric from my local reuse shop.
I printed on standard printer and taped the pattern together. No problems at all.
