Are you looking for something simple to start with?  We recommend the ever-popular Pixie Hat.

What is included in your patterns?
Each Twig + Tale PDF pattern contains layered pattern pieces and simple step-by-step instructions accompanied by clear photographs, as well as a summary of the instructions. To inspire you, there is also a gallery of tester photos and our famous Upcycle Guide, offering suggestions for repurposing old garments into gorgeous new items.  Additionally many of our more recent patterns include video tutorials, and also come with an A0 Copyshop and Projector file.

Please note: our patterns are instant digital downloads - you will not receive a paper pattern in the post.

Do the patterns include videos?
Many patterns include step-by-step videos - the links to these are found within the pattern tutorial file.  The pattern listing states if a video is included.

What are layered pattern pieces?
Layered patterns allow each size of a pattern to be printed independently.  Choose to print just the size(s) you wish.  If you cannot see the layers, first check you are using Adobe Acrobat Reader to view your downloaded pattern. For step by step instructions on using layers, please see this post.

Why can’t I select layers from my mobile?
At this time there are no PDF reader apps/programmes that support layers on a mobile device.  We recommend using layers and printing pattern pieces from a computer.  Save paper by viewing the tutorial on your device as you sew.

Are seam allowances included in pattern pieces?
Yes! Seam allowances are already included in each pattern piece so you do not need to add them.  The seam allowance is usually 1cm, but any exceptions to this will be clearly stated in the pattern.

Can I sell items made from a Twig + Tale pattern?
Yes - Simply credit Twig & Tale on the tag or in your online product listing. The exception to this is the Classic Cloth Dolls: these dolls patterns are for personal use only.  Please do not sell items made from this pattern, or from a modified version of this pattern.

Do you sell finished products?
We do not sell any ready-made, made-to-order, or finished items.  If you are looking to from a shop, do get in touch (support@twigandtale.com) and we might be able to help find someone who does sell finished items.  Alternatively, you could ask or look in our Twig + Tale Chat Group.

Where can I get help with my pattern?
Please email support@twigandtale.com for support with downloading and account issues.
We also warmly invite and encourage you to join the Twig + Tale Chat Group on Facebook - a friendly community where you can ask questions, receive pattern support and share pics of your finished Twig + Tale garments.

How can I download my pattern?
The download link is available immediately after purchase in two places:
1)  In an order confirmation which will be sent to you via email
2)  In your Pattern Library - simply log in to your website account, and click on "Go To My Pattern Library" for an alphabetic list of all your T+T patterns.

I didn’t receive my purchase confirmation email or download links.  Where are they?
In the first instance check your Spam or Junk email folders to make sure the emails aren’t there.  If not, try logging in to your account.  It may be that there was an error in the email address and logging in is the quickest way to determine this.
If you cannot log in, please email support@twigandtale.com so we can look into it for you.

If you can log in, but still have not received the email, then please get in touch. You can also access your patterns anytime by clicking on "Go To My Pattern Library" in your website account.

Help! I've deleted/lost my pattern!
No need to fret! Simply log into your website account and click on "Go To My Pattern Library". You'll find a list of all your T+T patterns, ready to download with the click of a button.

What happens if a pattern is updated?
Any updates to purchased patterns will automatically be added to your online account.  You will receive an email notifying you of the update and prompting you to download the new version if you wish.

How do I view & print my pattern?
Open the downloaded file using Adobe Acrobat Reader. Twig + Tale patterns and tutorials are designed to print perfectly on your home printer on either US Letter or A4 paper - detailed printing instructions are included in the pattern. We recommend printing just the pattern pieces and viewing the tutorial on your computer or tablet.

Do you have A0 versions of your patterns available?

Each individual pattern listing will state whether a A0 copy-shop file is included.

Do you have Projector files in your patterns?

Many of them do! Each individual pattern listing will state whether or not a Projector file is included.

Can I share my Twig + Tale patterns with other people?
No.  Each PDF purchased is copyright protected and may only be used by the purchaser. You may not forward, copy, or distribute the purchased PDFs. This is a term of sale which you agree to when you purchase a digital pattern from us.

Do you offer gift cards or is there a way that I can purchase a pattern as a gift?
Yes! We offer a range of different value gift cards for online purchase and gifting.  Please note that the gift cards are digital, not physical items.

If you wish to arrange a specific pattern as a gift, please contact support@twigandtale.com and we can make the arrangements with you.

Why have I been charged more for my purchase?
Checking out in a currency other than USD is only available by credit card.
If you are not using a credit card, you will incur conversion charges if viewing, checking out, or paying in currencies other than USD.
To minimise your conversion fees, we recommend proceeding to, and checking out in USD.

Please note that these fees are charged by the payment processing provider. It is not a Twig + Tale charge.

I’m stuck! How can I get help?
We're here to help.  Please email support@twigandtale.com for support with downloading and account issues.

We also warmly invite and encourage you to join the Twig + Tale Chat Group on Facebook - a friendly community where you can ask questions, receive pattern support and share pics of your finished Twig + Tale garments.

What is your refund policy?
Due to the nature of PDF patterns, all sales are final.
