Flower girl sun hats

I've made 3 of the hats for the flower girls at my daughters wedding. Great pattern , easy to make and clear instructions.
2 of the girls are under 1 year old and the other is 2 years old so could make different sizes to fit perfectly.

Fantastic and easy to make

I made one for me and one for my partner for gardening in. I found this pattern a lot easier and quicker compared to the traditional bucket hat style. the instructions and video was fantastic to follow. The toddler's hat was too small so going to make another one.

I love this pattern and with 5 granddaughters, I have now made 7 of these. Easy to make and great that they are reversible.

Love this Sunny hat.!

The hat was simply to make and the instructions were very clear. It was good to see all the brim variations too. I used a plastic pop fastener to create an optional turned up front brim.

Just what I've been looking for

I come from a family with 'big heads' so struggle to find a comfy sun hat. This pattern is great for me as there's no tight band and I even found that the M adult was fine for me. The instructions are easy to follow, and the resulting hat is a huge success. I've made 2 so far and will be making more I'm sure. One is my 'sailing hat' that I have adapted it with eyelets and a cord to prevent me losing it over the side.

Sun hat

I was asked to make a sun hat for my great nephew. I choose this one as it was and was glad I did as was an easy pattern to use.

Cute hats for summer adventures

I downloaded the free pattern some years ago and did not sew the hat until this spring. I bought the add on as I now had two kids who needed a summer hat and the flower add on is so cute. I really love the outcome, the big hat is in use every day and my child loves it, the smaller one looks so cute and is also excepted (the baby does not like hats that much^^)
I downsized the small hat and didn't do it with the bigger one, both was the right decision. I recommend to decide for every size by yourself, depending on the size of the head the hat is for. I did all the extra steps, as it really looks better this way and keeps the seam allowance in its place. And it was the first time I followed the seam allowance exactly, thank you a lot for mentioning it in the pattern :)
I always love your suggestions for upcycling your material. Helps me keeping in mind to use what is already there instead of buying new fabrics! Thanks for the great patterns <3

Sunny Hat ( with add on petal)

I have twin baby great granddaughters, I have made the petal hat, reversible, which had been a great success last year. This year we thought we would put the addon petals & the chin straps!! Much appreciated by their Mum, they make up so easily. I went back into sewing during lockdown, after not having so much as touched a sewing machine for nearly 40 years. These hats were one of the 1st things I made. Oh the joy :) Now I am making all sorts of everything!! Just cut out the scout shorts & Petal top, that's the next project on the go. So pleased. But it has lead me down a rabbit hole..... more materials, newer machines & an over locker, who'd have thought at my age I would be even looking at these things... but getting so much pleasure & giving so much joy. Thank you for your very easy patterns to follow.
