Sew this fun reversible doll cape with optional animal elements.

Capes make the every-day more special!   From outdoor adventures to tea parties, this simple-to-sew cape is gender neutral and the perfect accompaniment to any outfit.

This pattern features both a Capelet and Classic length. Included are two ear options: round and pointy, or make it without ears for a classic look.

This versatile cape becomes completely reversible with the addition of an extra button on the reverse side, or by using ties instead of a button. This gives you the option of having one side with ears and one without!

Twig + Tale Digital Sewing Pattern - Animal Cape for Dolls

You will receive a clear, detailed tutorial including step-by-step photos.

Skill Level:  Confident beginner

Make old things new again! Twig & Tale patterns pair wonderfully with upcycled fabrics. The cape uses very little fabric so look to gorgeous vintage garments and trims and precious fabric scraps for inspiration.

Please note, this pattern is not included in the Dolls Clothing Bundle, it is only available as a seperate pattern.

The limbs may be attached with string which if came loose could pose a choking hazard.

Adult supervision is always recommended and you should routinely check the items you have made for loose threads or signs of damage that could cause harm.

The cape was alot of fun to make. I made both sizes in some scrap fabric before finalizing the perfect size for my doll. I use an old velvet dry for the out and an old wool coat lining for the lining. I love the way it turned out. I still need to attacha closer to it. I have a few more ideas in mind for the next ones.
