I am absolutely love this pattern. I made 3 already, in the two different styles, but this one is my favorite. Pattern is easy an sewing is quick. Thank you for this pattern
Will review when i make, thank u
I purchased the flower add-on for this pattern and tried two different styles. The extra petal type flower was extremely fiddly for newborn size and unless you have a tiny foot, can be difficult keeping the curves even and smooth looking. However the basic petal flower pattern is so adorable and easy to sew. The instructions are clear and easy to follow and the pattern lines up wonderfully. I recommend this hat for intermediate sewers just for the fact that one has to be precise in all their measurements (cutting, seam allowance and stitching) to achieve a good finish. All patterns with piecework are like this so read the instructions through before commencing.
So cute its made for my grandchild. I will make many :). Thank you for sharing free patterns I really appreciate that.
I downloaded this pattern to attempt to make our new granddaughter a little sun hat to match a dress I had made. My first attempt was terrible as I chose the smallest size - as she was only tiny - the result was terrible as I hadn’t measured her. When I scaled it up the result was perfect - so my advice is always check the measurement before you start. The tiny one may fit a little doll that she has.
The instructions were spot on - thank you.
I have purchased a number of T+T patterns, but the Sunny Hat is the first one I have sewn. Inspired by some vintage Winnie the Pooh seersucker fabric and my soon-to-be three-year-old great-nephew, I jumped in. The design is so sweet and the instructions are fabulous, including brilliant tips for preparing the turning gap and aligning the six points. I could have used some more detailed guidance for the Flower Petal add-on, especially with the small petals, when it came to trimming and clipping to prepare for turning lining and all right side out. I am so pleased and grateful to find an adorable use for my favorite remnants.
Made this for my Grand-daughter....turned out super cute!! Thanks for sharing this pattern
