The design looks versatile and the potential to have a pattern that could be used again appealed to me. This was my first digital pattern. Fabric was from Britex of San Francisco - at $45 per yard it was costly but I wanted something as unique as the pattern. Adobe Reader on a Mac does not allow for printing layers. A friend with professional Adobe Acrobat printed the 18-24mo pattern - except she confused the two red dotted lines and I got 18-24 back and 8 year old front. I learned that I could print for myself and tediously trace the proper lines. If I had not had to cut and recut pattern pieces, I would have had lots of fabric left over. As it was, I had enough of the 1.25 y fabric left to make a baby's backpack. Managed the snap crotch but finishing the leg opening was kinda hit and miss. Likely it was my confusion with the right pattern line to cut but the leg length front to back didn't match. All in all I spent about $100 (had to buy snap equipment). I'll try using it again and hope things go smoother when I get around to making a three year old jumper.

    Love it!!

I bought this pattern and once I learned about ‘Adobe Layers’ it was full steam ahead!!! The instructions are very clear and the pictures are so helpful. I have made two size 5’s for my granddaughter - one in a quilting cotton weight and another in a stretchy jersey and size 3 for my grandson - in a heavy weight cotton and a jersey. Such a cute and versatile pattern

    Great pattern, lovely item

I'm a pretty new sewist, but this pattern was super easy to follow. I've now sewn several variations, and the instructions were great for each one. Because she's tall and skinny, I did need to grade between sizes (which the pattern provides simple instructions for). Still easy. And the final product is super cute. (My terrible phone pic doesn't do it justice.) Baby girl always gets compliments on her rompers. Love this pattern, and I'm excited to keep using it as she grows.

I cannot give a good review of the pattern I purchased on line from you. The pdf cost me $28 to have it printed at our local print shop, so i wouldnt need to tape it together, then every size was printed with multiple lines so that I couldn't follow the size I wanted with accuracy. Next time I will have all pattterns sent to me completed. No more pdf. A very costly pattern that I was unable to use.

    Hello Carole!
I'm sorry to hear your experience with our PDF patterns wasn't what you expected. It is a bit of a different process than buying a ready-made paper pattern, but there are many things I can suggest for you in the future, should you like to give your Barefoot Romper pattern another go.

Firstly, depending on where you live there are many copyshop options which are far less costly than the one you have used. If you email me at support@twigandtale.com, I'd be happy to help you track down some of those.

Also, when you have the A0 file printed, you can instruct the copyshop to turn off the size layers you don't need, leaving you with only the lines you need for the size you are making. Makes it much easier to see what is going on, as the Barefoot Romper is full of so many unique options, it can be hard to decipher with all the sizes together.

We aim to make your experience at our shop a positive one - please do reach out if there is any way we can do so. xx

I made the Barefoot Romper in both a black and white checkered & star printed fabric, as well as a warm vintage floral. The pattern looked so cute in both styles that were drastically different. Versatile and easy to follow!
