Encourage their imaginative play with this enchanting, easy-to-sew village of toadstools.
A sweet weekend project for a beginner sewer - these toadstools are a perfect upcyling project or scrap buster and the optional embroidery is a lovely introduction for those wanting to give it a try.
Such a beautiful little pattern. Easy embroidery. So cute. I’ve only completed one so far but have plans to make all three sizes. Thanks
Such a beautiful pattern! Easy to follow instructions to make a super sweet piece. Will definitely be making more ❤
I highly recommend making the toadstools if you want to relax and learn some embroidery, everyday I would look forward to creating something knew on them I couldn’t wait to get started. I took my time and gradually they came to life. When there assembled I’ll post them. Thank you twig and tale 🐿🦔🐇
love these and can't wait to make more
Loved this pattern, so easy to follow and loved embroidering the ‘stalks’, something I haven’t done for many years. Have done one set now on my second!
I bought this having never done embroidery before. I had an absolute ball learning a new skill and drafting out cute little unique details for the toadstools. The instructions, as always, were very clear and the links to embroidery tutorials were super helpful.
I can't wait to get a start on the next one, they are just so adorable and able to be very personalised to whichever little recipient you have in mind.
Amazing pattern, very versatile and easy to follow!
I haven't had a chance to use pattern yet but it looks amazing just like the other twig and tale patterns.
This pattern includes a village of three different sizes of toadstool houses with the following finished heights: Small 6.5" (16.5cm), Medium 8" (20cm) and Large 10" (25.5 cm)
Walls and Base: Woven fabrics. I like to use wool, but you can also use fabrics such as linen, cotton or canvas.
Cap: Red fabric in a similar weight for a classic toadstool. You can add white felt spots to a plain fabric if desired. You could use any colour or patterned fabric for a less traditional option.
Walls and Base: 12” or 30cm of fabric is enough to make all three sizes (a complete village).
Cap: 12” or 30cm of fabric is enough to make a complete village (this is enough for two villages, but you will need this amount to make one).
