Toadstool pattern

I absolutely loved making this! I've made it for my 3 year old grandaughter. (Yet to give to her). I'm sure she will love it. Her mum is a toadstool lover, so I think she will love it as much :)
I added large buttons on the top for the spots, red velvet and fluffy fleece for the roof. I added some rambling roses around the corduroy door using my embroidery stitches on my machine. Also various flower shaped braids and lace too. All from my scraps.
I will be making one for my nieces newly born daughter,Ivy, next. (Perhaps I should add some Ivy leaves!)She has a nursery with a woodland theme so it will go perfectly!
Thank you for the inspiring patterns.

Birth present

On a little campertrip to France, I handstitched this toadstool with a babygnome, for my daughter who’s pregnant. As decoration in the nursery. For a long time I wanted to make a toadstool, now I did it. I’ll definitely make more, with embroidery. Thanks T&T for the as always easy to follow instructions.

A joyful make

I have loved looking at the Toadstool houses that have been produced, but with no v smalls haven't made this pattern..... then a lightbulb moment that I could adapt the pattern to be a storage container- then Iand my not so smalls could home one of these delights.
I fully lined the stalk and base, added extra sturdy interfacing and used bias to finish the top edge.
I added lavender to my top cushion so it brings a lovely aroma to the room in which it sits when it is handled.
Loved the quiet activity of decorating my house , I added a kite [ for obvious reasons] to my design, and a kam snap to close the door- using the inside snap to be the face of my cat waiting inside. The seam seemed dull so last moment I added a sunflower to it.

The sweetest pattern

I loved making these as special gifts for friends. The construction of them is very straight forward and the instructions are very clear. I spent a bit more time on the embroidery than I thought I would but I had a lot of fun doing it and making something personalised for each of my friends

Gorgeous pattern

I made these for my granddaughter during the Covid-19 shutdown, out of things I had at home. They turned out well and is loved by the recipient. Sewing on the tops was slightly awkward but I read a handy hint and used dental floss and ladder stitch. It worked.

Dear Twig 'N Tale

I am sorry that I have not reviewed my patterns, but the fact is that I was awaiting a cataract operation, which I have now had. However, it is not doing very well, and unfortunately these consultations have been postponed indefinitely, so it could be a while before I can actually use my patterns.
However, I would dearly love to make one of everything for my newest grandchild! And I will review my purchases just when |I am able to sew again.
