I’ve just completed the reusable crackers and the crowns to use at Christmas. The pattern was easy to follow and I had fun making them personal. In keeping with using what you have I changed the back of the crowns to use left over elastic from the pandemic era.
Made my dad the forester for xmas, easy to follow pattern, with clear instruction and pictures
Jeg syede bukserne til mit barnebarn i størrelse 7 år.
De er syet i bævernylon med fort af vandtæt termofoer.
Barnet har selv designet bukserne med røde knæfirstærkninger.
De passer perfekt og hun er glad for dem
I made the reindeer add-on for an advent calendar gift for my girls, and they were honestly a joy to make--I enjoyed them even in a time crunch with other holiday projects breathing down my neck and a thousand interruptions from my baby. Great scrapbuster! I used scraps of both woven and knit and interlined with a thin fleece for warmth. As I didn't have a good marking tool that would show up for the antlers, I actually handstitched those and they came out fine (although turning out the loosely woven wool was fiddly, and I'd use a tighter weave next time). I cut a hook and loop zip tie into smaller segments and used that for the chin strap closure instead of the bulkier velcro I had on hand, and it worked great. That's all to say that this is a flexible pattern that can withstand a lot of different fabrics and substitutions! I couldn't get a very good photo, but I absolutely adore them. I sewed name tapes into the interior back seams because I know the girls will want to wear these to school this December :) Twig & Tale patterns are some of the best-written I've ever made; they're so much more pleasurable than many other sewing projects I take on.
Oh my goodness I loved every step of making two animal jackets for my nephew and daughter. The directions are great, just don’t forget to leave a hole in the lining for turning out. I love the way the hood and lining are attached, to reduce the chances of the lining rolling out. Overall these were such a joy to make, I will absolutely make another! Thank you!
