This might be the best pattern I ever had! It’s functional, looks great, it’s comfortable and can be made in so many kinds of fabrics and it has so many styling options! I already have three and am thinking about making at least 2 more!
If you’re like me and like the idea of pinafores but not wearing dresses or skirts in practice, this is such a fun and versatile piece to make instead. This is a nice and moderately easy pattern to work with and I especially love all of the provided measurements to help ensure a good fit off the bat. Longer or shorter torso? No problem. Modifications are easy. Full dungarees? Great! Leave out the bib for some adorable pants? Awesome!
Also it has huge pockets.
This is a great pattern with really easy to follow fitting instructions. I was easily able to adjust for height. The elastic back is very comfortable and with how many different versions you can make with this pattern I see many more in my wardrobe.
High waisted trousers are very much a missing part of my wardrobe…but not anymore! The Hedgerow Dungarees pattern has a bonus trouser option that makes the most comfortable high waisted pants, that can still be customised with the options like length and pleating. Mine are full length with pleated trousers. The instructions are amazing, as you would expect from a T+T pattern, and the projector file has all the features like mirrored pieces, that make the cutting out process easy for projector users.
I have my fabric washed and ready to cut out for my next pair- I love that I can choose to make dungarees or trousers with this pattern!
Confession time- I am not a dungaree sort of person so when rge Sew and Show was launched I opted to make the capri trouser version- then I saw everyone's dungarees coming together and I wanted some of the action! These are so much more than just dungarees- I made mine as a dress up version and I am delighted with the result.
The pattern comes together really easily and I love having all the choices contained within so that you can make your own perfect combination. I chose capri length, plain bib and pleated trouser, and it turned out just right.
Indeed I enjoy wearing these so muchthat a second pair is going to follow very soon.
