Young ones learning about the world absorb all they see, hear and feel with wide open eyes and hearts. A doll made from natural materials makes the intangible real and shows them love can be held and nurtured. Made by you, he or she will always be perfect in their eyes, a priceless gift and lifelong friend.
- 16" tall, natural cloth doll pattern, with button joints, woven fabric and yarn hair
- Clothing pattern bundle includes : Reversible wrap top, pantaloons, little shoes and her "Animal" reversible cape and capelet.
You will receive a clear, detailed tutorial including step-by-step photos. No previous dollmaking or embroidery experience required!
Experience required Briar is suitable for someone who has used a sewing machine before. Embroidery experience is not required and is fully explained.
Briar is not a whip-it-up-in-an-evening project, rather there are lots of elements which can be done in a spare fifteen minutes here and there - so she does come together nicely :)
Make old things new again! Twig & Tale patterns pair wonderfully with upcycled fabrics. Briar uses very little fabric so look to gorgeous vintage garments and trims and precious fabric scraps for inspiration.
Supplies
- 24” of 44” wide fabric (60cm of 115cm wide fabric) for her body. Flesh-coloured broadcloth, calico, linen or other plain cotton material works well. This will be enough for two dolls, but you will need this amount in order to make one
- Spool of coordinating thread
- Upholstery-weight sewing thread in colours similar to her skin and her hair
- 50-75g ball for her hair.
- 4 small buttons - neutral colored for attaching limbs
- Stuffing - I like to use clean, carded wool

A: Briar and Fleur have identical bodies. Briar was designed with simpler facial features and hair to make her easier for a beginner. Each come with their own clothing bundles which are also different.
Q: Can I purchase the clothing bundles separately so Fleur can wear Briar's outfits and vice versa?
A: The clothing is interchangeable between the dolls, but at this time the clothing bundles are only available to purchase with the dolls.
