Black Lives Matter.

We stand in solidarity with the Black community not just this week or next week, but for the long term.

Our social media has been paused this last week in order to hold space for Black/BIPOC voices. During this time we have been listening, donating, speaking up in our fb group and email, reading and learning.

We all have a part to play in working to end systemic racism. As a small business our immediate priority is working to ensure we reflect the diversity of the sewing community, through authentic representation on our website and social media. This includes showcasing more garments from BIPOC makers on our social media platforms (help us find you by tagging us with @twigandtale and #twigandtale), and actively seeking more voices to include.

We will continue to review our pattern testing process to ensure we are working with a diverse group of makers, and seek out opportunities to partner with Black/BIPOC businesses and those who support them.

As we grow, we will keep diversity and inclusion at the forefront when it comes to recruiting future team members and contributors.

Having the privilege this week of listening to many makers share their lived experiences has given me both pause and courage. Thank you for generously sharing your experiences.

We commit to showing up for this work with warmth and heart.  Black Lives Matter.

Love to all, Lisa and the T+T team x
