When we talk about sustainability at Twig + Tale, we usually think of sewing slowly, using scraps, and making clothing that lasts. But sustainability also applies to how we run our business.
Sustainability in business is about taking a long-term perspective - balancing economic viability, environmental care, and social equity. In practice, this means reducing waste, using resources wisely, and making decisions that not only meet today’s needs but also safeguard the future.

🌿 Creating long-term value by nurturing this community, continually refining our patterns, and ensuring Twig + Tale remains economically viable so we can be here to inspire future generations of makers.
Updating our prices is part of this bigger picture. It helps us continue to operate in a way that is fair, thoughtful, and aligned with our values - so that Twig + Tale can keep flourishing, not just for today, but for years to come.
It’s been three years since we last updated our prices, and in that time our little corner of the sewing world has blossomed, nourished by this extraordinary community. You are the heart of Twig + Tale, and your creativity, kindness, and support make everything we do possible.
We know that hearing about a price increase is never the most exciting news, so we want to be transparent with you about why we’re making this change and what it means.
What's Changing
So that we can maintain our offering of trusted, high-value patterns we need to ensure our business is financially sustainable, especially in the face of increasing costs and inflation. As of September 12, our prices will be increasing.

- Children’s garment patterns will now be USD $13.50
- Adult garment patterns will be priced at USD $18
Hats, Footwear and Playful pattern pricing will also have a modest increase.
We’ve kept these increases as low as possible, while ensuring we continue to offer you the best value we can:

- Provide ongoing pattern updates, delivered to you via your Pattern Library
- Providing step-by-step video classes for the majority of patterns.

T+T patterns are known for their clear, detailed instructions that reliably enable you to produce quality, timeless, well-fitting garments that cover all seasons. Even with this small adjustment, our patterns remain an investment in creativity, sustainable making, and the joy of sewing something timeless.
Our updated pricing will come into effect as of 12th September 2025 (NZT).
