Here at Twig + Tale, we have made two free mask patterns which calmly guide you through the process of sewing a fabric face mask.
We have included two styles, a PLEATED version and a PANEL version. Both styles include multiple fastening options, a pocket for an optional filter and optional nose moulding.
The pattern includes XS, S, M, L, XL which covers sizes for both children and adults. You can download the FREE patterns here:
After many months of social distancing, we were finally able to get together and film a video tutorial. We started with the pleated version, as it is a little more involved than the panel version. We hope to be able to film the panel version in the following weeks.
We hope you find this video helpful, and if you have any questions, come and join us in the dedicated Twig + Tale Mask Makers group. Join us here
We are all in this together. Kia Kaha (be strong),
This video shows the PLEATED version and also details the following:
- Fabric Ties
- Elastic Ear Loops
- Adjustable Elastic Hack (using tabs)
- Optional Nose Moulding
If you wish to skip past any fastening methods to get to the remainder of the construction, you will find it at about 4m 40secs.
We have a dedicated Twig + Tale® Mask Makers Facebook group where you can ask questions along the way if you need to. Join us here.
