This is the best hat pattern and brilliant instructions. Thank you so much.
I made a slightly altered version of this lovely pattern by shortening the peak and adding a fabric flower to the brim. I can see me making more of these cute hats. Thanks for a great free pattern!
great pattern, good scrap buster, i used the flower pattern and found the patterns all run large with the 6 panels
(my seam allowances are smaller so that didnt help)
but i found if i remove a panel and have a smaller seam allowance that its a perfect fit for the measurement of head
so now im away laughing
Very good project, but I found I couldn’t rely on the summary instructions, I was baffled about the final stages till I had some help from a friend (thanks Claire) and looked in more detail at the pictures etc. I measured and made the adult medium size but it came out too big, I need to find a big headed pal to give that one to, then make the next size down for me. I was tempted not to bother with the tailor’s ham, as I didn’t have one so had to make that as well. Once I got started on the hat I realised why that ham was essential. I learnt a lot making this pattern. Thanks!
I made one for my 18-month-old grandson. He loves it! I used scraps from different projects and it turned out great!
Now I'm going to make a few more. I already purchased the flower add-on and am going to have so much fun.
I've made 3 of the hats for the flower girls at my daughters wedding. Great pattern , easy to make and clear instructions.
2 of the girls are under 1 year old and the other is 2 years old so could make different sizes to fit perfectly.
I made one for me and one for my partner for gardening in. I found this pattern a lot easier and quicker compared to the traditional bucket hat style. the instructions and video was fantastic to follow. The toddler's hat was too small so going to make another one.
I absolutely love this pattern, it's extremely simple and easy to sew, I have already made 3 versions for my little girls who adore them, highly recommend ❤️
