Suggested Fabrics
This pattern requires light to medium light-weight woven fabrics.
Summer options include lightweight linen, cotton, silk, lawn, voile, charmeuse, crepe de chine, double gauze, rayon, seersucker, Tencel, and chambray.
Winter options include chambray, flannel, wool crepe, soft corduroy, and thinner velvets.
Other Supplies & Notions
- Spool of coordinating thread
- Interfacing: 8-10" (20-25cm) of mid to lightweight interfacing for the front ad back facings - knitted or non-woven interfacing preferred. Optional: A small amount of extra if adding interfacing to the front v-notch, back neck split, or the sleeve to strengthen for snaps.
- Optional: 1/2 yard or metre of 1.5" (3.5mm) wide bias binding (or make your own) if you wish to bind the edge of the facing.
- 1 button, 1/2"-3/4" (12-18mm) is recommended. Optional: 2 buttons (or 2 sets of snaps) if you wish to include sleeve tabs for long or 3/4 length sleeves.
- Short piece of elastic cord for button loop
