A little bit romantic, with soft, billowy sleeves - Vista makes the every-day feel special!

The Vista features a beautifully finished V-neck, gentle shaping, and your choice of two sleeve lengths - shorter elbow-length or longer bracelet length.

Compatibility:  Vista Top sleeves can be used interchangeably with the Scenic Top and Sleeve Add-on - mix and match to create even more looks!

Skill Level: Adventurous Beginner/Skill Builder

Skills you will learn:  Fitting adjustments, set-in sleeves, faced v-neckline, bust darts, curved hem

    Vista top

As soon as I saw the vista top released I knew I wanted to make one. I loved the fit that much I actually made 2!!! I love the bellowing sleeves but decided to add a little more length on my second one. I did struggle a little with the neck line as that was the first time I had used that method but was pleased with my over all result. I think I will make more of these tops but might try a shorter sleeve on my next one for a variation with our nz summer.

    Party Vista

I made the Vista top for myself, leaving out the arm elastic, and I’m very pleased with how it turned out. The instructions were as usual easy to follow. I made it from a linnen/viscose blend in shining pink. I’ll go party in it!

Great Pattern - learnt a lot

Lovely pattern to work on, which I did in conjunction with the video. Bought the Vista top but didn't get round to making it until the add on sleeve pack came out. Managed to make the short sleeved turn up cuff version from 2m of cotton fabric that I've had in my stash for ages. Went from this to making another in cotton poplin with the long tabbed sleeves. The tops are really cool and comfortable to wear and I will be making more. Perhaps experimenting with different fabrics.

    Perfection

This pattern is my absolute flipping favourite, it’s elegant, it’s fun, it’s got a professional finish, it’s open ended enough that it’s easy and fun to hack for endless possibilities, AND it utilises some new and unique techniques so it’s still a fun challenge! SO THRILLED, I’ve made three already and have several more on the go 😂

    Easy breezy Vista!

Another great T+T pattern! I made one for myself and my mom in a white gauze and then we ice dyed them. Love how the v-neck looks and the sleeve options!

    Easy to understand, polished results!

I would say you can sew this top if you are a confident beginner or more, and I suggest reading the tutorial thoroughly before beginning to prepare yourself for all the steps.

The tops I made came out very nicely! I used gold linen and embroidered chambray, these are both a size K. I needed to add more length for my height (5'11") on the blue curved hem top, but the gold straight hem top is a nice length. On both tops, I lowered the right bust dart by one inch to accommodate extra fullness on that side, and it worked perfectly.

On a later make, I raised my neckline by one inch and I found it was still very comfortable and I had no issues pulling it on. I didn't need to change any pattern pieces to do so, I just cut everything but the neckline and then slid the pattern piece up one inch to cut the neck. The neck facing still worked perfectly, and after it was sewn to the bodice front, I trimmed off the small amount of excess.
