Hooded scarf a success

The hooded scarf was a huge success. Once I got the hang of it, they are so quick and simple. Wrapping my head around how to attach the pockets to the scarf took a moment as it felt counter intuitive, but if you just follow the instructions I promise they won’t lead you astray

Sizes

This pattern includes sizes: 3-6m, 6-12m, 12-18m, 18m-3y, 3-5y, 5-8y, 8-12 and teen/adult.

The sizes are quite generous, but depending on your choice of fabric and whether you prefer it loose or tight fitting, you may need to go up or down a size.  For example, you may require a bigger size if you use faux fur.

Suggested fabrics

Exterior:  I like to use wool, but you could also use fleece, minky, fur, corduroy, or any other soft warm fabric.  You can use felted woolen sweaters for this, but you may need to mix and match two sweaters in order to have enough fabric.
Lining: Cotton, linen, flannel or other soft breathable fabric.

Fabric requirements

Scarf Version:  7/8 - 1 yard (70 - 90 cm) of both lining and exterior fabric.
Cowl Version:  1/2 - 3/4 yard (40-60 cm) of both lining and exterior fabric.
Crossover Version:  1/2 - 3/4 yard (40-60 cm) of both lining and exterior fabric.

Depending on the width of your fabric, you may get more than one garment from these amounts.
