Up cycled with a pair of jeans and other fabrics I had on hand. Easy and fun. Working on my next pair, tall using boiled wool red & cream plaid blanket.
Simple straightforward sew. I can see a lot of these being made in my household.
Another awesome pattern, easy to understand instructions and heaps of inspiration on Facebook and instagram of others end products. I made a pair for mother’s day and my mum loves them. Will be making myself a pair as well.
I made a pair for everyone in my family and have gotten to the point where it only takes me about 20 minutes from cut to finish! I 100% love these and they are perfect for keeping your feet warm :)10/10 recommend!!!
This pattern is quiet simple and comes together rather quickly. Love this pattern and have made several pairs with scraps fabric
Again a visually stunning pattern with some super handy hacks that make these boots the most comfortable pair iv ever made. Iv literally made 6 pairs since my first, all unique an all fun. Err not, these are asily adaptable for cankles or thoes of us with thick calves.
Another great pattern! It gets a little bit fiddled trying to attach the soles, but worth the effort for the comfort that it provides to the wear.
Fun to make. A big hit with the kids!
Exterior: Wool fabric, wool blends, denim, cord or other fabric with reasonable structure. If you use a softer fabric such as fleece, it will create a more slouchy boot. You can also use woolen blankets and felted sweaters for the exterior of your boots.
Lining: You can use pretty much any cosy fabric. Cotton, flannel, and fleece are all suitable. You can also use fluffy fabrics such as sherpa or shearling; however, you may need to go up a size.
Insoles: Soft comfortable fabric, such as wool from blankets or felted woolen sweaters.
Soles: I like to use leather or suede - I use an old skirt or jacket from the thrift store. You could also use denim or warmer, thicker fabrics and apply paint-on latex or another similar application to reduce slip.
You will need about a 1/2 yard (50 metre) of fabric for the exterior Heel + Toe
You will need about a 1/2 yard (50cm) of fabric for the lining Heel + Toe
You will need about a 1/2 yard (50cm) of fabric for the insole and outer sole combined.
If making the taller height boots- add an additional 8” (20cm) to your Heel + Toe amounts.
