COMPATIBILITY

These Add-ons are compatible with all of the Twig + Tale Pathfinder Vest patterns. The Baby + Child add-on is also compatible with the Petal Wrap Dress (animal dress anyone?!)

The Adult Add-on includes all the size ranges for both the Women's/Curved Fit AND Men's Straight Fit.

Animal Add-ons also available for COATS here and CAPES here

Q:   Will this include the pattern for the actual vest?
A:  You must purchase the Pathfinder Vest pattern separately, as these animal add-ons do NOT contain all the pattern pieces for the vest.

Q:   Can I use the same animal add-on for all the kids patterns?
A:   As the necklines are different between the garments, you will need to purchase the add-on specifically for the garment type you are sewing.  (The exception is the Child Pathfinder + Child Pixie Pea Coat (not Grove Coat) add-on pattern pieces which can be used interchangeably.)

Q:   Is there an add-on for the Adult Pathfinder Vests?
A: Lucky you, the Adult Animal add-on includes both the Men's/Straight Fit AND Women's Curved Fit size ranges in the one add-on - bonus!

    SUPPLIES

Use the fabric requirement chart from your original garment pattern.

The Animal hood has the same fabric requirements as the Round hood. If adding a tail, allow another 14 yard or metre.

It is intended that your choice of ears can be cut from the scraps - however, if making a Bunny, Puppy or Giraffe, you may need to allow a tiny bit more fabric.

    PRINTING INFO

This is a print-at-home PDF pattern and includes three printing options:

      1. US Letter/A4 - tiled and designed to print on your home printer
      2. Copyshop - A0 wide-format file (33.1″ x 46.8″)
      3. Projector - specially-formatted and optimized for home projector use.
Read more about using our projector files here

All pattern printing formats include “layers”, allowing you to print only the size(s) you need, or all of the sizes. A comprehensive sewing instruction tutorial is supplied.

Halloween dragon was all she hoped

My daughter wanted to be a dragon for Halloween and she picked out the fabric. She loves the outcome. Even with tips from the FB group the spikes on the head are a little floppy but overall we're both very happy. The sparkly fabric she picked for the wings and spikes worked perfectly otherwise with support from interfacing (on both sides). The green sparkly fabric is quilting cotton. She and I both have Pathfinder vests and I love how the animal add-on contributes to how the pattern can be used.

    Cute little dragon

Great pattern, instructions a bit tricky as it is reliant on you purchasing the animal add on pattern. I had to figure out how to adapt it to the vest pattern as I didn't have the animal add-on, but it wasn't super difficult to figure out. Little One is super pleased with her dragon. I added gloves with talons and a fire stick...boom happy little dragon.

    Super cute

It was a bit challenging to figure out when/how to manage these as the pattern doesn’t explicitly tell when to add them in.
I didn’t make the fox ears very well and they don’t stand up at all, but I believe that was a maker error.
Happy with the animal add on bit.

    Dragons are Animals

Using the adult animal vest add on plus the free child's dragon add on to create 2 adult dragon pathfinders was such fun. The possibilities are huge with the animal options and achieving something amazing is as easy as following step by step

    Thrilled with this pattern

I couldn’t be more pleased with the instructions and clarity for this vest. I’m excited to have a pattern that can grow with my kid and all the exciting animal add-ons and possibilities. the only instruction I wished was clearer was how to best make the ossicones stand up straight.

    Sewing for grandbabies

I wish these patterns with their add ons, tips and hacks had been around when my children were little. Instead I get to sew for my grandchildren - probably a more fun option. Patterns are easy to follow. Thanks Twig and Take.
