The Pathfinder Vest, one of Twig + Tale's most beloved children's patterns, is all grown up! We are so excited to introduce the Women's/Curved Fit Pathfinder Vest.
It retains many of our favourite features of the children's version, but features a more refined shape with beautifully-curved, figure-hugging princess seams and side shaping.
A perfect layering piece, we'll certainly be reaching for our Pathfinders on spring and fall days when there is a chill in the air!
The Women's/Curved Fit Pathfinder Vest is fully-lined and features beautifully-shaped princess and side seams. Options include two hood styles, a rounded or V-neckline, a straight or curved back, flutter sleeves, and two pocket styles.
For closures, the pattern offers beginner-friendly button-and-loop closures, or buttonholes.
The Women's/Curved Fit Pathfinder is available in the following size ranges:
- 0-22 (A-L), which picks up from the children's sizes
- 14-38 (H-T)
The pattern tutorial includes instructions for blending sizes, a simple adjustment for those of us whose bust, waist, and hip measurements fall into different sizes. The layered PDF pattern makes it easy to select just the size(s) you would like to print, and A4/print at home, A0/printshop, and specialized projector files are included.
The Pathfinder includes two hood options: a classic round hood, or a whimsical, pointed pixie hood, which will certainly appeal to your inner forest fairy. Both styles are roomy, functional, and sure to keep off the chill.
The lovely vest above features a V-neckline, and without the hood has a more classic waistcoat style.
The back of the vest can be finished straight, or with a curved hem, which provides a bit of extra rear coverage and warmth.
Would you like to add an extra whimsical touch to your Pathfinder Vest? The pattern includes the option for flutter sleeves, perfect for adding a pretty detail.
The Women's/Curved FIt Pathfinder includes options for classic patch pockets, as well as a new kangaroo pocket. Lined with a warm, cosy fabric, the kangaroo pockets are perfect for keeping hands warm.
The patch pockets work equally well on the exterior of the vest, or as a hidden interior pocket. The pockets provide a perfect small canvas for adding some special trim or embroidery to personalize your Pathfinder.
We love the look of the Children's Crossroads Vest so much that we just had to create a Women's/Curved Fit version too! The Crossroads Vest, featuring lovely petal-shaped, overlapping front pieces, is available as a pattern add-on. During testing, we also discovered that the Crossroads works well for pregnancy, as the overlapping front pieces accommodate expanding bellies perfectly. The Crossroads Add-on also includes a lovely curved pocket option.
