    Great pattern

I loved this pattern. The instructions were very clear and it made a beautiful shoe for my little one, and I loved that I could upcycle a thrifted bag for the outer fabric and soles!

    Brilliant make

I really enjoyed making these! I made a pair out of wool and flannel from my stash, and embroidered on the outside as a Christmas gift for a friend, and she appreciated receiving them as much as I appreciated making them! I found the tutorial really instructive. I watched the video before I started, which was great, as I sometimes find patterns with multiple layers and flipping insides-to-outsides get confusing, and I never had to seam rip, which is saying something! I would highly recommend this pattern.

So much easier than I thought

A friend gave me a voucher for my birthday so I thought I'd splash out on the wayfarer bundle. I was a little nervous of trying to make shoes but I was really pleased with my first attempt. The instructions were very clear and helpful. I made quilted soles for the inners and used a non-slip material for the outers in a pair for my nephew. Now I am figuring out how to felt an old cardigan that has already shrunk slightly in the wash to make a pair for me. The instructions have given me the confidence to give it a go! Thanks T+T for another great pattern.

I love this pattern as do my two little grand daughters and their parents. These little shoes are quick and east to make, even for beginners. The instructions are really clear and they fit beautifully. Great scrap buster too!! This will be a pattern I return to constantly.

    Quick Sew!

I sewed these in a size 5 for my toddler daughter, and it was a very simple sew! I used cotton fabric for all but the sole, which I made of leather. The shoes do fall off her feet more easily than the brand name crib shoes that she wears, so I think next time I will have to tweak the elastic length or maybe the placement of the heel with respect to the toe piece. I have not yet tried these in any larger sizes, so I don't know how that particular aspect of the pattern works in the larger sizes.

    Great pattern!

I made the kids slippers for my son. They were great for using up scrappy pieces of fabric. Fit was perfect and instructions were clear. I sewed leather soles for the first time, switching to a leather needle and lengthening the stitch for that section. They turned out so well and my son was very pleased he could choose his own fabrics and colours, right in time for “slipper day” at school! I’m looking forward to stealing time to make a pair for myself!

Children’s wayfarer shoes - fantastic pattern!

Another fantastic pattern from Twig + Tale. The instructions are so clear and easy to follow, with the pictures and videos to go along with it. I thought these tiny shoes would be really fiddly but the steps were very clear. Absolutely love the extra info in all the T+T patterns with up-cycling inspiration, links to the Facebook group and more. Can’t wait for my next Twig + Tale purchase!
