Included Adaptive Add-on: Sensory Sensitivity + Pregnancy Waistbands
An alternative to the regular elastic waistband, these stretchy-knit waistbands may be helpful for those with sensory sensitivities such as not tolerating elastic at the waist, or simply for greater comfort.

The pregnancy waistband is essentially same as the sensory waistband, with more height for additional coverage. The pregnancy version can be worn full height or folded over.

These adaptive pattern pieces are supplied in Print-at-Home, A0 Copyshop and Projector format.

    Great Base!

I mashed the Fernways with the Pixie Romper bib and love them! The Fernway Pattern are just like the rest of Twig and Tale patterns - well drafted and beautifully written.

    My new favorite pants

These were easy to sew in a day. The instructions were clear (as always!) and I love that there are videos for the different steps. I didn't have to modify them at all and they are comfortable.

    The ultimate comfort chic

I had planned on making these Culottes for a good year and finally got around to it. I had seen reviews that find the fit too generous, but I would disagree. I fall between size e and f on the TT sizing chart and usually size down. To accommodate for pregnancy I decided for a size f this time (sensory waistband) and I do not regret! The fit is definitely loose, but I still think it looks chic when paired with a slimmer shirt, and oh so relaxed when paired with a wide blouse. I can't wait to get my Clogs ready for a spring style! The hip/ waist fit on the pattern is perfect for me. If I ever were to make a woven waistband I might however go for size e.

    Easy to do, beautiful result

The patterns is so easy to follow, and on the parts where you might get stuck, a video is waiting for you, showing very clearly how it works. I am still a beginner in sewing, but I felt so confident making this pattern!

    Just what I wanted!

These culottes are a joy to make and wear. They are lovely - very full, comfortable easy to assemble waist, deep pockets. The instructions were easy to follow as always and they were straightforward and relaxing to assemble. I highly recommend getting a great fabric (I used a linen I'm in love with) and just enjoying this make!

Mostly happy with this, but... big caveat:

I'm giving this 3 stars because the pattern is great and went together well, and the instructions were clear. Unfortunately the pattern was huge; I double- checked to make sure I'd made the right size, couldn't figure out why there was so much bunching of fabric. Finally joined the fb group out of sheer frustration only to find out that yes, everyone makes this 3 or 4 sizes smaller. I have wasted a lot of expensive linen fabric on this, so the sizes really need to be adjusted on the patternor a note added.

    Great pattern

The pattern is well written and easy to sew. I made the calf length in a lightweight denim with a floral rayon for the pockets. My daughter loves them, and I will be making the shorts in the near future too.

    great pattern

Lovely pattern, the culottes are very comfortable and are fitting very well.
The instruction videos are very helpful, it’s easy to follow - a good pattern for advanced beginners.
I personally found, threading the elastic with a pin through the back waist a bit too tricky.
Nevertheless I really enjoyed this project and I am looking forward to sew more culottes in the future.
    Thank you!

    Super pattern

I am a competent learner and found this pattern very straight forward to follow. An elasticated waist culotte is always going to be forgiving fit-wise but the shaped front waistband and pleats provide a nice fitting silhouette.
I loved the layer options of the PDF which produced a very clean and clear print out. I especially appreciated the ability to minimise paper and more importantly, ink use.
The videos gave me confidence that I was on the right track.
This is my first twig and tale download and I will purchase again with the confidence that I'm getting truly quality product.
