Included Adaptive Add-on: Sensory Sensitivity + Pregnancy Waistbands
An alternative to the regular elastic waistband, these stretchy-knit waistbands may be helpful for those with sensory sensitivities such as not tolerating elastic at the waist, or simply for greater comfort.

The pregnancy waistband is essentially same as the sensory waistband, with more height for additional coverage. The pregnancy version can be worn full height or folded over.

These adaptive pattern pieces are supplied in Print-at-Home, A0 Copyshop and Projector format.

    Fabulous pattern

Made 2 pairs for my sister who is a curvy lady and they look great on her. First pair in cotton was meant to be a tuille but is totally wearable. The second in a mid weight viscose which hang beautifully and are very flattering. The pattern, as always, is spot on and so easy to follow. I love Twig and Tale and hope there may be a sleeve addition to the forrester vest on the horizon - please??? Keep up the good work.

    I only took 1 star off because…..

Okay, I’m going to start with all of the positives of this experience. I learned lots; to print off a pattern and put it together, sew pleats, sew a double elastic waist (I love that part). So for that I think it was a success. I did happen to use a knit fabric and it was very voluminous in the waist and hips so much so that all parties agreed it was best that I use this fabric for another project. But that’s okay, I learned and that’s a good thing! :)

    New wardrobe favourite!

I love the pattern, it was so easy to assemble...
my printer has a known scale issue, so i sized down accordingly and they came out beautiful!

i did wing it with the waistband as the instructions seemed fiddly... but im over the moon with the fit, how it feels breezy, and makes my legs look super long

    Loved these!

I'm an adult beginner (I've only got two months of machine sewing under my belt) and these went together easily! I'm really happy with how they turned out, but fabric selection is absolutely key. I like a more of a high waist so if I make these again I'll probably adjust the rise to accommodate - fortunately I can adjust the waist height by just changing the elastic length to fit my true waist, which make this super simple.

    Great Base!

I mashed the Fernways with the Pixie Romper bib and love them! The Fernway Pattern are just like the rest of Twig and Tale patterns - well drafted and beautifully written.

    My new favorite pants

These were easy to sew in a day. The instructions were clear (as always!) and I love that there are videos for the different steps. I didn't have to modify them at all and they are comfortable.

    The ultimate comfort chic

I had planned on making these Culottes for a good year and finally got around to it. I had seen reviews that find the fit too generous, but I would disagree. I fall between size e and f on the TT sizing chart and usually size down. To accommodate for pregnancy I decided for a size f this time (sensory waistband) and I do not regret! The fit is definitely loose, but I still think it looks chic when paired with a slimmer shirt, and oh so relaxed when paired with a wide blouse. I can't wait to get my Clogs ready for a spring style! The hip/ waist fit on the pattern is perfect for me. If I ever were to make a woven waistband I might however go for size e.

    Easy to do, beautiful result

The patterns is so easy to follow, and on the parts where you might get stuck, a video is waiting for you, showing very clearly how it works. I am still a beginner in sewing, but I felt so confident making this pattern!

    Just what I wanted!

These culottes are a joy to make and wear. They are lovely - very full, comfortable easy to assemble waist, deep pockets. The instructions were easy to follow as always and they were straightforward and relaxing to assemble. I highly recommend getting a great fabric (I used a linen I'm in love with) and just enjoying this make!
