Five and Counting

I have recently re fallen in love with this pattern and added the mini cape to my autumn wardrobe.
It is wonderful how you can come back to it and see new possibilities.
This pattern is the perfect blank canvas for your imagination.
Quick to make, it has wonderful clear instructions. A perfect beginner's make

The pattern that allowed me to call myself a sewist

This pattern was lovely to follow. Step by step instructions were detailed. The fb group really helped me understand the parts I couldn’t quite get a grasp of. I used a vintage woollen blanket and a vintage flannelette sheet. The finished cape is beautiful and I’m so proud.

Dress ups

We do Round the Vines in Martinborough and this year dressed as Little Red Riding Hood. Made this cape in shrug length and made a shoulder length lining as it would be hot. Admired by several other groups. Made very full aprons from an old pattern

Easy to follow!

I used faux fur for the lining and Firespiral woven wrap for the exterior with a Pixie hood. I love it! I would also love to see a full length version or 'hack' in a future update :)

Beautiful shape with great length options

I loved making the travellers cape. Easy to follow instructions and very few sections to assemble. I was about to usea faux wol for the external layer and contrasting liner. I loved it so much I made second for a family member

Bride’s Cape

I sewed the Traveller Cape for my son’s bride in pale pink satin with an rose-embossed lining. She loved it!! She had planned to wear it during their outdoor wedding in November in Michigan (US) but the weather was so beautiful, she didn’t need it. But she did wear it to the venue, and she also loved the matching padded hanger I crafted along with a matching bag for her wedding day necessities.

A cape for Grandmother

I made this cape for my 98-year-old grandmother because she has a lot of difficulty getting her arms in and out of coats while sitting in her wheelchair. It came together so quickly and beautifully, and she loves it! Always a pleasure to sew a T&T pattern.
