Great instructions

I enjoyed making this for a newborn and even though it was a bit fiddly because it was small, I had no trouble following the detailed instructions. My only problem was forgetting to add the ear warmers I had seen. Maybe reminding me to tack them to the flaps earlier in the instructions might have helped. I realise it’s difficult to cover all options in the instructions so this is not really a complaint at all.

Hi Trudy, so glad you enjoyed making the Aviator hat! If you plan on making another hat in the future, you'll find the instructions for adding the optional ear flaps on Step 10 of the sewing instructions. Hope this helps! Lisa x

Straightforward and fun

It was a really easy pattern to follow and sew up, I just had a little trouble topstitching around to finish because I used a thick wool and a thick cotton knit for lining but I persisted and the outcome was fab so really glad I did that last step! It turned out so cute, I’ll be making more!!

Cool hat

I love this hat. It looks cool and it was an easier sew than I expected. They do run large though, so I’ll need to make more :-)
