Sew soft!

I loved making the new Monarch play wings! I decided to make them in a soft, sensory-friendly velvet and a textured cotton and sparkly vinyl for the appliqué. The whole thing came together very smoothly and while there are some technical aspects that need some precision, overall it was a lovely project to work on. I would highly recommend trying the Monarch wings and adding your own twist to suit your child's preferences and needs.

a new favourite!

This is my first ever pair of wings, and let me say... These little wings were SO enjoyable to make. Between the pattern, blog resources and "guides" available on the Facebook platform it is easy to find answers to any questions you may have and feels like you're sewing along with friends. They walk you through every step to achieving a beautiful, durable finish that I'm certain will hold up to hours and hours of imaginative play. My kids love these things and I can't wait to make more for them and as gifts. It is one of my favourite things I've made, and one of the most enjoyable patterns I've ever followed.

Fluttery fun!

I'm so happy with how my Monarch Wings turned out. I don't normally sew with nuch orange fabric, but I had just enough leftovers from a really special linen to make one set of toddler and 2 adult sets. Wings are one of the best scrap projects!

They also just came together so beautifully, it was a very satisfying sew!

So fun!

I've sewn most of the twig+tale wings and I love them all. These are the most commented on though while we're out and about! There's something so special about the Monarch butterfly 🦋

If you have a projector, make sure you use that to cut these! Speeds up the process a lot!

Gorgeous wings

I really enjoyed making these wings. It is an easy to follow process and the results are just outstanding. There are also so many options to make them any colours you want. I will definitely be making more for all the kids I can.

Stunning!

I thoroughly enjoyed the process of creating the Monarch Wings. The pattern and instructions are spot-on. They do not take a lot of fabric, I was able to use what I had on hand. They are so beautiful made up with the sun reflecting off them. This two year old found them delightful.

Let your personality shine through!

The lovely thing about making wings is that each one is unique..... all along the journey you make fabric decisions that are personal to you and create your own mini masterpiece. Added to that TT patterns are so well explained that making these is possible for all levels of sewing skills, just grab your materials and start selecting and let your creativity free.

Such a good way to use scrap fabric

I made these wings using all scrap fabric and batting. The only thing "new" was the interfacing. There's lots of room for creativity and the appliques are an excellent way to use up small scrap pieces.
