The Breeze Shirt is simple and casual, made for the warm, relaxed days of summer. Long sleeves protect delicate skin from the harsh sun, and an easy, loose fit ensures comfort.
While we initially designed this sewing pattern with boys in mind, it suits girls equally well.
The Breeze Shirt will be completely at home playing in the sand at the beach or dangling toes in a cool stream in the forest. Keep little ones feeling breezy and comfortable with this simple and classic top.

Make old things new again! Twig & Tale patterns pair wonderfully with recycled fabrics. Look to gently used light weight linen garments, and muslin baby wraps for inspiration.
easy to follow instructions!
Love this so far only made long sleeve for my grandson. Going to try the dress version next for his sister
Like all twig and tale patterns this was super easy to follow and the video tutorials really map it out for you. The French seams make the seems on this shirt so fancy and professional looking. I was super impressed with myself. I already made two shirts and plan to make several more!
Such clear instructions both in the PDF and on the website, a support group too I believe! I didn't need those, the pattern is so comprehensive and easy to understand. If you're looking at reviews to help decide, buy it! You won't regret it.
3 shirts-3 days!
A few weeks before my 2 grandkids ( 14 month & 3 years) were off to Mexico , my daughter in-law was searching for long sleeve tops to keep the kids protected from the sun.
I happened to see this pattern on my Instagram feed so ordered the PDF .
I made 1 top out of a light weight blue/white pin striped cotton- linen. 2 tops from cotton gauze. They were so quick to make and quite satisfying. The grandkids looked brilliant in them!
Easy pattern to follow, good clear instructions. The shirt has quite nice finishing, looks great on the inside. Sizing runs very accurate. I sew a lot, so it's getting high praise from me.
A little more tricky than other T&T patterns but turns out well with perseverance.
I must admit I found this a bit tricky with my material fraying left right and Center, however the French seams solved the
Problem perfectly and look ooh sooo pretty! I’m extremely happy with the end product and my son looks fab in it, soo much nicer than an ordinary tshirt! Also looks great under a pathfinder vest! It’s a real winner for me
Love the look of this shirt! I did find it a bit tricky with the sleeves (but I haven’t made anything from a pattern for many years). My husband was so impressed with my efforts that he wants one too.
My grandson was so excited to get this shirt. Fun to make. The fit was so great. Looks so much better than just a tshirt for boys. Great summer shirt with the short sleeve option. I will be making lots of the Breeze shirts for all of my grandsons.
