Bring a touch of nature inside with these whimsical, quilted leaf blankets inspired by deciduous forests of North America, where the lush green leaves of summer change to blazing canopies of red, orange, and yellow in autumn.

A simple, satisfying project, these diminutive leaves are suitable for critters 9-18 inches in size.  They make lovely open-ended playthings for little hands.

Dreamed up by Lisa's sweet, nature-loving girl, a portion of the sales went towards reforestation projects and protecting animal habitat.   Read more about her project here.

Skill level: Beginner.  No quilting experience required, and all you need is a regular sewing machine.

* There is a Bundle of all sizes of North American Leaves for the best value *

  • Five different leaf types: Elm, Linden, Maple, Quaking Aspen, and Tulip Poplar
  • Four versatile mini sizes

A lovely touch of NZ in the UK

Yet another great pattern from T&T. I have been eyeing up this one for a while and when my little girl no longer needed her cot duvet I was sorted. A bed sheet, cot duvet inner and canvas drop sheet later I have a beautiful leaf blanket. As a nzer living in the UK it's so nice to see my girls lying on a bit of NZ! Really easy pattern. Brilliant instructions as always and such a satisfying outcome. I want to make a bunch of the smaller ones for my older daughters dolls now.

Fun and easy Leaf blankets

These were so fun and easy to make. I have made a few different sizes out of a variety material. I made a few for our cats and they live them. I made one for our school carnival raffle basket which was beach themed. So we decided to go with flamingos on the Beach with a fleece back. We even made some dinosaurs ones. So many uses for these leaves. I made some as a placemat for Mother's day for my mom.

Wonderful leaves!

My first attempt at anything like this! So easy to follow and the videos helped also. Loved the result and am looking forward to doing more. Pattern with several sizes is great. Thank you.

Adorable!

I have made the large lily pad in double gauze and am beyond happy with the result! The baby loves it as well! It's a relatively easy make, so it should be suitable for beginners, too. Great pattern!

The Cutest Designs and Very Accessible for Beginners!

These were a great re-introduction to machine sewing for me, and my first time really working with a pattern. They were simple to follow, and the videos were appreciated. I made three of them for my daughters, and they are the cutest things. I had no issues feeling successful in making these!

I bought the tropical leaves blanket to make for the new baby in our family. The patterns are great. The video tutorials are perfect! No messing around- right to the point of the tutorial- quick and easy!! My favorite video tutorial ever!

Absolutely LOVE these!

The tropical leaf blankets are super easy to sew and look amazing. My son and I love picnicking and using these as a small picnic rug always brings joy to us. Planning on making so many of these in many different sizes. Lap rugs, placemats, ‘floor is lava’ jump spots, baby gifts…. The ideas are endless!
