Perfect woven pants/shorts. I skipped the pockets to try out the fit on my first pair but they are perfect so I plan to make many more. I love the below-the knee length for summer.

This pattern was for my 9-year-old to make for the county fair this year. It was very straightforward and simple and with my assistance he was able to make these. I really liked the external pocket, and I felt it was easier for him to sew together also. We will definitely be using this pattern again.

The Coastal Shorts are the most comfy shorts I have ever worn. Made in linen/viscose blend. Sized down 2 sizes and added 3” to the leg. My waist is small for hips so I’m still a bit unsure about the amount of fabric gathered at the waist. But I’ve lived in these since I made them. Made several pairs of Scout Shorts for our granddaughter too. She regularly picks them out to wear. Definitely recommend.

I’ve tried so many different patterns for shorts & pants that would go over my son’s cloth bum and none have worked without a LOT of modifications. This pattern just works. They look great on and the instructions and support for measuring etc are excellent. I’ve made 3 pairs now and will be making more for our trip around Europe.

I love the fit of these. They're roomy enough to play and explore in, but not too wide. The pockets are the perfect size for collecting treasures. They came together quickly and easily with the help of great instructions.

This pattern is fabulous and so joyous to put together. I particularly like the waistband attachment because of the neat finish it gives. I highly recommend.

The pattern was fantastic, I love the ability to print a single size and the instructions were easy to follow. I loved the shorts I made for my three year old nephew and plan to make more.

My grandson asked for some 'spiderman shorts', which I was able to provide after finding the material and using the 'Scout shorts' pattern'. The shorts went together really well, the directions were clear and the shorts looked very 'professional'. We were both very pleased with the result!

Living in a tropical climate, we cannot possibly have too many shorts in our wardrobes. I have sewn many scout shorts and they are always a winner, especially when sewn in linen. Pair it with some Twig and Tale embroidery and you have a winner

I made size 2 pants from a remnant cotton linen blend fabric as a test for sizing for my 21 month old grandson. They were a good fit and then made a pair from navy suiting for him to wear to a family wedding. ( paired with a pathfinder vest in the waistcoat style). I thought the instructions were great and really enjoyed sewing the pattern - so much so I then immediately made 2 pairs of size 4 shorts for my granddaughter (just over 3 1/2yrs of age) from a light weight denim.
Fantastic pattern and satisfying sewing I will definitely be making many more in the future.
