Casual, relaxed-fit pants for every-day wear, the Shore Pants have been designed with just the essentials in mind: a great fit, the right amount of ease for movement, and generous pockets.
The flat front and gently-tapered leg give a stylish, modern look, while the elastic channel back ensures pull-on comfort. Ties complete this simple, clean style.
Sewn in breezy linen, we think the Shore Pants would be perfect for relaxed summer weekends playing with the kids, or even a casual beach wedding.
Skill level: Adventurous Beginner- Intermediate
Skills you will learn: Sewing slash pockets, adding an elastic channel waistband, creating and inserting waist ties. Fitting adjustment resources included.
Video Support: A full course of clear, concise videos accompany this pattern, alongside a comprehensive written and photographed instruction booklet.

Men's/Straight Fit Sizes 30-60
The Shore Pants (Men/Straight Fit) is currently available to a size 60. We drafted to a Size 66, but we need additional testers in order to release these last 3 sizes. If you are interested in testing in Sizes 60-66 for us, please do get in contact at support@twigandtale.com, we would love to hear from you. Thank you!

This is a PDF pattern and includes three printing options:
- US Letter/A4 - tiled and designed to print on your home printer
- Copyshop - A0 wide-format file (33.1″ x 46.8″)
- Projector - specially-formatted and optimized for home projector use. Read more about using our projector files here
All pattern printing formats include “layers”, allowing you to print only the size(s) you need, or all of the sizes. A comprehensive sewing instruction tutorial is supplied.

My husband has been asking me for pants for the longest time. And when I got picked as a tester, I was so delighted. It is so easy to follow and the resizing is thoroughly explained to get the best fit. I really love upcycling an old batik shirt to give that pop that it needed in linen pants. And of course, my husband loves it. So do i.
I was a tester for the Shore Pants and as expected the drafting is perfect and the instructions comprehensive. I made a trial pair out of an opped flanelette sheet which will be great winter pj pants. The linen/cotton I used for the finished pair was perfect for these relaxed pants. There will be many more of these made for the men in the family with one hoping to make his own. I have no doubt a beginner could readily manage these pants as I’d class them as quick and easy.
I’m a Shore tester and loved making these. Such a quick and easy make! My hubby loves them even though he usually wears more formal wear. the fit is fabulous and even having to lengthen them for him was easy to do. He wants more so that’s high praise indeed. I love the waistband technique. Thanks to the team for another great pattern.

You can make it in any fabric base to meet your needs - for adventuring, lounging, yardwork, special events, daily wear... it is very well-drafted and instructions are easy to follow.
