Easy to sew

This was quick to sew up and instructions were easy to follow. The pattern is nice but the bottom flared out quite a lot which was not shown in the photos and my customer did not like that part of it. Another customer however really liked that it flared and so she wanted it ! Haha! I particularly appreciated the instructions to do alterations which I have found difficult in the past.
I would have posted a photo but it was bought today and my request to review came after she left.

Puffy grey and yellow

It is the first time that I sew a quilted garment and with the step-by-step included in the tutorial has been perfect. I really enjoyed the process and I'm going to enjoy wearing it even more! This vest is a perfect pattern to personalize and add all the details you like.

A great and easy pattern

I managed to achieve some great results with this pattern. The request was for a hunting vest, with extra large pockets and in camoflauge. This pattern was perfect for it!! I really love twig n tale patterns.

Good first project

I was pretty much a complete beginner and had only done some very basic repairs on the machine (I actually got a new machine part way through this as the vintage one just had so many issues). I was able to figure out the pattern and put this together in about 1 week. The only thing I found a little confusing were the references to "right side up" etc, which can get overwhelming when you're working with multiple panels and are a beginner, I would also say WATCH THE VIDEOS! Regardless, if you take the project one piece at a time you will be able to figure out the garment, this taught me A LOT, and I made a lot of mistakes which I was able to correct! If I could offer some advice for a beginner like me, it would be to NOT use a stretchable sherpa on the inside as it goes out of alignment very easily and to cut as precisely as possible from the pattern. I have since upgraded my cutting tools to a rotary device and I'm sure that will help next time. I'm looking forward to my second attempt and have also purchased the men's shirt pattern from Twig and Tale.

Great versatile pattern.

I was asked by my sister to make an emergency fishermans style vest for one of her son's. It was not something that I had done before, I have only been sewing for a year, but I found this pattern and thought I would give it a go. I found it really easy to follow the instructions and it was very flexible as to how I could make the vest look. I was pleased with how it came out in the end, and my nephew was very pleased with it. I had a bit of an issue with my zip, which I corrected after I had taken a photo and then forgot to take another photo of it.......

Easy and fabulous!

I was really surprised at how easy this Trailblazer Vest was to make. It made up fast, instructions were easy to follow and the pattern pieces fit together very well. I already have another planned with the add-ons for a spring/ summer version.

I've had this pattern since it was published, and have loved it since. It's one of the few vests I love.
