Well explained

The pattern is well done and the instructions were easy to understand. The video explained step by step. I already made two vests.

Great sew but large fit

I made a waistcoat style vest (for my 21 month old grandson), sized down to a size 1 for a closer fit and added the button band as recommended in the instructions. I made it from corduroy with a cotton lining. The instructions were great and the vest went together really well but it was big enough to fit my 3 1/2 yr old granddaughter (both kids are tall for their age and average build). I made another with navy suiting and a cotton lining, without adding the button band and taking a small amount from the width as well and got a good fit. I did cut everything out carefully and used correct seam allowances - whilst I get that you want to have room to grow it seemed big even for that. I don’t feel confident with the sizing for this pattern but loved making it so will make more in the future.

Great little vest

Excellent, easy pattern. The matching instructions were very clear and the finished product is cute, can't wait until my son can try it on.

Love this pattern!

This is my first Pathfinder Vest upcycled from a small baby blanket. The video was extremely helpful! I had fluff all over my sewing room but my 74 yr. old Singer 15-91 sewed through all the bulk with no issues at all. This is a size 9-12 mths. for my newest granddaughter. I'm sure I will be making her lots more over the years as well as some for her parents! thanks for this awesome pattern!

Such a great versatile pattern

I am so glad I discovered your patterns. I love the range for woven . Pleased I discovered the Sunny hat and went on to investigate. Here is my first (I hope of many) using animal coat add ons. Needlecord with slight stretch and cotton poplin lining. Bunny ears, flutter sleeve and bespoke applique. There is a bunny tail on the back. Easy to follow and accurate, I would say it is worth taking time to get the best result if using different fabrics and especially do the markings. My machine has a built in dual feed (walking foot) and I used this throughout. Thank you.

So easy - and beautiful results!

I wanted to make my mom something nice for her 79th birthday and I had some beautiful brown fabric I purchased from a thrift store some time ago that I thought would make a nice vest. I don't see my mom often enough to fit the vest to her as it was being made but she did tell me her measurements (or at least what she thought they were!) and I did take in the waist after seeing her in person once I started the vest. I see lots of things I wish I had done better (like driving to her house and fitting her more thoroughly), but she is utterly thrilled! Since I rarely sew garments and my fitting options weren't fabulous, I am also happy with the results and I look forward to making more of these handy and lovely vests!
